Regular Base: Thin and perfect for normal, healthy nails. Provides a smooth foundation for gel manicures, but doesn’t add extra strength.
Rubber Base: Thicker, flexible, and ideal for weak or thin nails. Adds strength, helps shape the nail, and makes your gel manicure last longer.
A gel manicure at our North Hollywood nail salon can stay beautiful and chip-free for 2–4 weeks, depending on your nail growth and care. Proper aftercare ensures your nails stay strong and your nail art looks fresh for longer.
Hard gel is a long-lasting builder product applied directly to your natural nails.
It is used to:
- strengthen natural nails
- build structure
- create extensions (sculpted with forms)
- It cures very strong, resists breaking, and cannot be soaked off — it must be filed off.
Hard gel is perfect for clients who want durable nails that can be shaped naturally or extended.
Gel-X (Gel-X Tips) is a type of full-cover gel extension. Instead of building the nail with layers, a pre-shaped gel tip is applied to the natural nail using a special soft gel.
Gel-X:
- is lightweight and flexible
- looks very natural
is quicker to apply - can be soaked off (no filing off the whole nail)
It is ideal for clients who want clean, uniform extensions without the bulk of acrylic or hard gel.
